HISTORY

Tail up and concentrating!

Johnny is an exceptional K9, who has an exceptional work drive and is a stunning Belgian Malinois Specimen.

He is a three year old male and was bought in Holland, from a specialized breeder, as a “green” dog. Johnny was then trained by MAT Mondial as a Mine Detection Dog. He is a very intelligent, highly motivated K9.

Working Experience: He has completed a two year contract in Southern Sudan on a United Nations Mine Action Programme. He has also passed 4 UN accreditations whilst in country. He had numerous finds while operational, which included Anti Personnel and Anti Tank Mines and Unexploded Ordnance. He was indeed a valuable asset on the ground.

He returned to our facility in Nairobi in June 2010, after the contract was completed. He is also the Sire of our first litter of puppies in our working dog breeding program.

On location of explosive he sits and indicates perfectly.

Summary:

Johnny’s strengths are in that he is a fully trained, experienced Mine Detection and Explosive Detection Dog. He is also a proven sire of high quality puppies. Johnny is still intact and can be used for further breeding of working dogs.

‘Show’ or ‘trick’ dogs are exactly that, whilst a K9 like Johnny is a proven professional working dog and, as such, he is a very valuable commodity, which has attached kudos associated with his experience and his skills.
